Summary, etc. <p>A series of novel 1-amino dibenzo[b,d]furan derivatives have been synthesised <em>via</em> 1,3-dinitrophenol with iodophenol compound. The chemical structures of the compound have been elucidated by 1H and 13C NMR. The mass of the synthesized compounds has been estimated by LCMS. The functional groups present in the title compound are revealed from FT-IR and confirmed by elemental analysis. These compounds have also been screened for <em>in vitro</em> antibacterial and antifungal activities.</p><p> </p>
