Summary, etc. <p style="text-align: justify;">A very simple arrangement of Biginelli’s condensation reaction of 1,3-dicarbonyl compound, aromatic / aliphatic aldehyde and urea / thiourea has been performed in a convenient way by using nicotinic acid without any solvent and under ambient conditions. This approach of pyrimidone synthesis is simple, versatile, metal-free, high yielding and environmentally benign.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
