Description |
The dataset (REDDFIT V.2) was developed in 2021 by tagging financial transfers related to REDD+ as documented in the OECD-CRS, resulting in a set of new variables. Results based on the predecessor of this database (REDDFIT V.1) is available from: “Study on EU financing of REDD+ related activities, and results-based payments pre and post 2020”at URL; https://op.europa.eu/en/publication-detail/-/publication/6f8dea1e-b6fe-11e8-99ee-01aa75ed71a1. REDDFIT V.1 methods is found in Appendix K of the above report, and was designed by Stibniati Atmadja. The methods are replicated with minor changes to produce the current dataset, REDDFIT V.2. According OECD handbook, OECD-CRS database provides comprehensive and consistent data to estimate and describe the amounts and types of activities funded by donors across time. The OCED-CRS data is collected through a combination of questionnaires, WebQueries, online platforms and/or via the Statistical Data and Metadata Exchange (SDMX), often in association with other International Organizations (e.g. Eurostat,UN agencies, etc.). The REDDFIT v2.0 dataset consist of 47,032 data rows. The dataset identifies and characterizes the major public, institutional and private flows of direct and indirect REDD+ finance to recipient countries. The dataset contained 38 variables on several aspects of REDD+ finance such as donor, funding mechanisms, and recipient. In the dataset, variable 2-35 were extracted from OECD-CRS. The other 4 variable were generated through analysis from the authors.
