Summary, etc. The year 2020 has been marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on health, the economy and society. This article presents the findings of a bibliometric study of COVID-19 literature in the economy domain to identify current areas of research and propose a way forward. The database selected for the analysis is Scopus. After a search with a 2-step filtering, a total of 458 works were obtained, which are used as a sample. The analysis is approached with a double methodology: a bibliometric analysis and a deductive content analysis. It is concluded that the terms economic crisis, tourism, stock, markets, governments, oil or economic recession have been the most repeated in this area of study during 2020. The United States is at the forefront of research on the subject, with 17.5% of total research, followed by the United Kingdom with 12%.
