<p>Commercially available potassium phosphate has been demonstrated to be a highly efficient catalyst for the synthesis of thioethers employing two different routes <em>viz</em>. alkylation of thiols with alkyl/aralkyl halides and by Michael addition of thiols to conjugated alkenes.</p> |
