Description |
Simplex lattice mixture design was utilized to optimize the formulation of the mixture of guar gum, corn starch and almond gum proportion. Fifteen formulations of the combinations were produced from the constrained proportion of guar gum, corn starch and almond gum. Investigated responses were the swelling index in the different solutions of distilled water, sodium chloride, calcium chloride, ferric chloride and magnesium chloride. The combination shows significant response towards the solution of distilled water, sodium chloride and calcium chloride. Based on these responses, the optimum formulation containing the ingredient mixture of 0.503 proportion of guar gum and 0.496 proportion of almond gum was obtained with maximum desirability.
