Description 133-137
Electrochemical studies of pesticides Chlorpyrifos, Cypermethrin and Endosulphan using Differential pulse polarography in soil by mercury drop
electrode. ELICO CL-362 polarographic analyser was used for measurement of current voltage relationship (polarograms) on electrolyzing
electroactive solution in polarographic cell. This apparatus has three electrode assembly, dropping mercury electrode as working electrode,
calomel as reference electrode and platinum as counter electrode. Electro analysis of pesticides in soil was performed in Britton-Robinson (BR)
buffer (pH-2.87) and Acetate buffer (pH-4.5±0.0) at room temperature. Pesticides concentration in different soil samples varies between 3.978
ppm to 5.973 ppm. Highest level of pesticide Endosulphan (5.973 ppm) is reported in soil of Bharatpur Rajasthan, India. From this research
showed that the developed electroanalysis of pesticides in soil using mercury drop electrode are accurate, precise, reproducible and inexpensive
with acceptable the analysis of pesticides in soil. This method is simplicity of sample preparation and use of low cost reagents are the additional
benefit.
