Rajasthan is the second largest oilseeds growing State contributing to 18.5% of the total oilseeds production of the country. The State is the largest producer of rapeseed-mustard (44.6%) and third largest producer of groundnut (9.4%) and soybean (9.2%) in the country. The average productivity of oilseeds in the State is almost equal to national productivity and there is tremendous scope for further increasing the productivity as demonstrated in farmers’ fields under frontline demonstrations. This publication comprises of improved package of practices including varieties and technologies recommended for different ecological regions of the State would be of great help to the stakeholders of the State in increasing production and productivity of oilseeds.
