Milk is a liquid and a perishable commodity; that’s why a quick disposal is necessary. Marketed surplus of milk is a crucial parameter on which the interest of many stakeholders like dairy holders, consumers, middleman like itinerant traders depend on. As milk is very ready to perish in quick time, different channels exist in the study area for its disposal. It was observed from the study that large dairy holder has significance contribution in overall marketed surplus of milk. Karnaltaluka has its own importance as it is the agricultural hub of Punjab and Haryana due to the presence of National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) that disseminates dairy related information in various modes. Taking all into consideration this study captured major information like marketed surplus of milk through different existing channels has a great importance. Not Available |
