FIELD STUDIES WERE CONDUCTED FOR THREE YEARS ( 1986-1989) ON BOULDERY RIVERBED LANDS OF DOON VALLEY TO DTERMINE THE SOIL - WATER- PLANT INTER- RELATIONSHIPS AND PRODUCTIVITY OF SWEET ORANGES ( CUTRUS SINENSIS) cv . MALTA BLOOD RED IN RESPONSE TO IRRIGATION SCHEDULE AND PLANT SPACINGS. IRRIGATION AT 15 DAYS INTERVAL WAS FOUND COMPARATIVELY BETTER. SPACING NEITHER AFFECTED PLANT GROWTH NOR YIELD AND QUALITY OF FRUITS BUT ON PER HECTARE BASIS, CLOSER SPACING PRODUCED 1.7 TIMES MORE FRUITS THAN WIDER SPACING. Not Available |
