metolachlorandatrazineandat2%and5%flyashamendmentlevelstheherbicideswereretainedin
the top15cmprofileofthecolumn.However,flyashesvariedintheircapacityinreducingthe
downwardmobilityofherbicides,astheInderprasthaflyashwasmoreeffectivethantheBadarpurfly
ash.AlthoughflyashcontainedheavymetalslikeCr,CuorPb,buttheywerenotdetectedinthe
leachate.Also,concentrationofothermetalslikeZn,MnandFeinleachatedecreasedafterflyash
amendment.Resultsofthisstudyhaveimplicationsinreducingtheleachinglossesoftheseherbicides
in agriculturalsoils
