Description Technical Bulletin
The soils in Rewari and Mahendragarh districts are affected mostly by alkalinity rather than salinity. With
+ depth alkalinity and salinity of soil increased. Na was more dominated cation followed
by Ca2+and Mg2+ and Cl- was the dominant anion in the soil saturation extract. Soil
organic carbon concentration was very low and ranged from 0.23 to 0.33% with mean
of 0.27% for soils in Rewari district. Whereas, in Mahendragarh only 10% of analyzed
soil had organic C greater than 0.5% for only upper two layers of soils. Signi
