rural communities (Ramanatha Rao and Bhagmal, 2002). Environmental services provided
by fruit trees such as protecting and, providing habitats for pollinators, and storing carbon
are valued in the tens of billions of dollars annually. Fruit trees provide important adaptive
values and tend to be more resilient to climate change due to their perennial nature
