In replicated field trials, six organic based IPM modules (including control) were evaluated for the management of thrips’s mixed population on fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) for two consecutive years. The pooled result obtained the maximum reduction (63.22%) in thrips population on the plants treated with IPM module M-3 (Garlic extract @10 ml lit.-1 + azadirachtin 0.03% EC @ 5ml lit.-1 + tumba fruit extract @10ml lit.-1) followed by M-2 (sanitation + NSKE @ 5ml lit.-1 + Ker plant extract @ 10ml lit.-1) reduced 61.16 per cent population. IPM module M-1 consisted by sanitation + yellow sticky traps @ 25 no./Acre + Neem guard @ 3 ml lit.-1, minimize the thrips population of 54.01 percent categorized as least effective module, whereas, IPM module M-4 and M-5 were observed as middle order of effectiveness for the management of thrips on fennel under field conditions.
