Description A field experiment was conducted during June 2001 to May 2003 in Alfisols at Hyderabad in the 'Kesar' mango (Mangifera indica orchard to find out the economic feasibility of drip irrigation (no irrigation, drip at 0.25,0.5 and 0.75 and nutrient management (control, 75 kg farmyard manure/tree, recommended NPK (100 g each ofN, P20S and K20 tree/year of age, 100% NPK +75 kg fannyard manure/ tree, and 50% NPK+37.5 kg farmyard manure/tree). Net income accrued was highest with no irrigation in 2001-02 and with drip at 0.75 Ep in 2002-03. In second year, drip irrigation increased the net inconle by Rs 68 538 to 118 499/ha over no irrigation (Rs.26 140Iha). Conjunctive use of100% NPK + 75 kg FYM/tree registered maximum net returns ofRs 50 528/ha in 2001-02 and Rs 125 446/ha in 2002-03. Mean oftwo year data indicated that drip irrigation at 0.75 Ep and NPK+farmyard manure at recommended level were highly profitable.
