Present study was carried out in 10 severely pica affected female camels aged between 2-4 years. In the pica affected camels, there occurs a significant decrease in mean erythrocyte count, haemoglobin concentration, packed cell volume, total serum protein, serum
globulin, serum calcium, phosphorus and Iron concentrations, as compared to healthy and treated camels. No Significant difference in serum copper, cobalt and selenium concentrations were recorded in pica affected and healthy camels. Treatment using specially
designed mineral mixture at the rate of 30 gm per day per animal for 60 days was found satisfactory in terms of improving haematobiochemical and serum mineral profiles in camels. Mineral mixture supplementation was also found satisfactory in terms of relieving the camels from symptoms of pica. High fecal silica content in the pica affected camels suggested high silica consumption by the pica affected camels.
