In dogs suffering from acute and chronic hepatitis. Hb was significantly lower while neutrophil count was higher. The monocyte count was higher. The monocyte count was increased in chronic hepatitis only. In acute and chronic hepatitis, activities of ALT, AST, ALP and GGT enzymes were significantly higher. Total bilirubin was significantly higher in acute hepatitis, and cholesterol and urea nitrogen reduced significantly in chronic hepatitis. In cholecystitis, AST, ALP, GGT and total bilirubin were significantly higher. These changes may help in differential diagnosis of hepatobiliary in dogs. Not Available |
