Lac insect culture, particularly in rainy season is prone to fungal attack. Three species of fungi belonging to the family Eurotiaceae / Aspergillaceae uiz., Aspergillus awamori Nakazawa, A. terricola MarchaI and PenicilIium citrinum Thom (Syn. P. aurifluum Biourge) have been found associated with lac insects collected from kusum (Schleichera oleosa) and bhalia ( Flemingia macrophglla). Not Available |
