The Distribution of DTPA–extractable micronutrients in arid soils of Churu district namely Molasar, Chirai, Modasar, Devas, Masitawali, Saroopdesar, Naurangpura and Dune complex soil series was studied. The DTPA –extractable Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn were highest in Naurangpura series of alluvial origin and lowest in Dune complex soils. In general these soils showed a regular trend in distribution of the DTPA extractable Zn, Fe and Mn. However Cu showed irregular distribution in the soils. The concentrations of same in the soils decreased with depth. Amongst the soils, Naurangpura series showed irregular distribution pattern of Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn in relation to depth in soil profile due to alluvial nature of soils and their weak pedogenic manifestation. Simple correlation study indicated that organic carbon had significant and positive correlation with available Fe, Mn and Zn, whereas, pH and CaCO3 had inverse influence on the availability of Fe, Mn and Zn, respectively.
