Northeast India is considered very rich in biodiversity of cucurbitaceous crops. Powdery mildew is a serious problem on cucurbits in this region. A survey was conducted for identification of powdery mildew pathogens on cucurbits. The ITS region of nrDNA was used for phylogenetic analysis. Results confirmed the presence of anamorph of Podosphaera xanthii on Cucurbita moschata, Cucurbita maxima Sechium edule and Cucumis sativus. This information will help in screening as well as management trials related to these crops. Not Available |
