A fresh Western Disturbance is very likely to affect Western Himalayan Region (Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) and adjoining plains of Northwest India from 06th March. It is very likely to cause scattered to widespread rainfall/snowfall likely over Western Himalayan Region during 06-08 March with peak intensity on 07 March. Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall very likely over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 07 March. Thunderstorm with lightning & hail at isolated places very likely over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 06 & 07 March and over Uttarakhand during 06-08 March. Isolated to scattered light rain/drizzle very likely over Punjab on 06 & 07 and isolated light rain/drizzle over north Haryana, Chandigarh and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh on 07 March. Isolated thunderstorm with lightning very likely over Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh on 07 March. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, scattered to fairly widespread over Assam & Meghalaya and isolated to scattered over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura till 7 March and isolated to scattered over the region on 8 & 9 March, 2021. Isolated thunderstorm/lightning also likely over these regions during the same period. Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh on 05th March and thundersquall (wind speed reaching 50-60 gusting to 70 kmph) & hail also very likely over Assam & Meghalaya on 05th March, 2021. Maximum temperatures are above normal by 3-7°C over most parts of Western Himalayan Region & plains of Northwest India and are above normal by 3-5°C over many parts of Central, East & West India.
