The family Nemipteridae is represented by Nemipterus japonicus in the trawler catches off Mangalore. Locally known as "Rani fish" it forms one of the important offshore catches* constituting 26.4%. It is therefore attempted in the present account, to deal with the feeding habits, sex ratio and maturity stages, size groups, and depth wise distribution of this species. Not Available |
