A 90 days experiment was conducted to optimize the stocking density of Pearlspot (Etroplus suratensis) with Tomato in Recirculating Aquaponic System. Different stocking densities of Pearlspot i.e., 0.58 (T1), 0.86 (T2), and 1.16 (T3) kg/m3 were stocked with four numbers plants of tomato. Fish production, plant growth and water quality parameters and their dependence on fish to plant component ratio was observed. Fish growth was higher in T1 followed by C, T2, and T3 while tomato production was higher in C followed by T3, T2 and T1. Thus, 0.86 kg/m3 (T2) stocking density can be suggested as optimum for Pearlspot production with four numbers of tomato plants in recirculating aquaponic system. Not Available |
