: Impact of climate change on inland fisheries is given top priority in recent years due to its immediate and potential influence on the environment and human society, especially on food security. The effect of climate change ranges from cellular level to ecosystem level, besides the social and economic influences. The climate change can significantly influence the inland fisheries concerning the water resources, biodiversity, productivity and sustainability. Aquaculture practices are also likely to be impacted in term of productivity and farming practices, besides profitability. Although, this event cannot be completely avoided, possible mitigation measures and management practices can facilitate minimisation of negative impacts and resilience towards probable situations. The capacity building among the community as well as ecosystem approach in resource management is anessential mitigation strategy with a sustainable approach. Individuals, communities, NGOs, government and policymaking bodies can play a crucial role in combating the future adverse impacts.
