Adoption of integrated disease management practices by few individual farmers alone can not control the incidence of the fungal disease. Hence, efforts are to be made to facilitate group action among the coconut farmers at grass root level to get desired results for the adoption of IDM practices against bud rot in coconut. Hence, farmer producer organisations like Coconut Producer Societies and Coconut Producer Federations can play important role in organizing coconut farmers for effectively adopting prophylactic/curative plant protection measures and other crop management practices during rainy season.
