Repellents are potent compounds that prevent phytophagous insects from feeding on the plant. A procedure has been detailed out in this chapter to test the repellent against the test insect. The diamondback moth (DBM) has been picked up as an example here. Using the bioassay, the antifeedant properties of the test plant can also be studied.
