Yesterday, widespread rainfall (>75% places) received in 8 sub-divisions viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Rayalaseema and Coastal Karnataka. Due to the sub-dued rainfall activity during last three weeks, the cumulative rainfall status since 01-June-2020 is showing deficit condition in 43 districts in East & Northeast India, 41 districts in Central India, 111 districts in Northwest India and 17 districts in South Peninsular India.
