Yesterday, widespread rainfall (>75% places) received in 15 sub-divisions viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Due to this the cumulative rainfall status of the country as a whole has improved from 0% to 1%. The cumulative rainfall status since 01-June-2020 is still deficient in 43 districts of East & Northeast India, 113 districts in Northwest India, 54 districts in Central India and 4 districts in South Peninsular India.
