Yesterday, widespread rainfall (>75% places) received in 22 sub-divisions viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka. Due to the wide spread rainfall occured yesterday in majority of the sub-divisions, the cumulative rainfall status since 01-June-2020 has improved from -21% to -19% in Northwest India and from -2% to 0% in Central India, as a result the cumulative rainfall status of the country as a whole has improved from +1% to +2%.
