Yesterday, widespread rainfall (>75% places) received in 18 sub-divisions viz., Assam & Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, HaryanaChandigarh-Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Odisha, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka. Due to this, the cumulative rainfall status of the country as a whole has improved from +5% to +6%. The cumulative rainfall status since 01-June-2020 is still deficient in 40 districts of East & Northeast India, 95 districts in Northwest India, 20 districts in Central India and 4 districts in South Peninsular India.
