Change in low level wind pattern into north-westerlies, reduction in moisture
content and cessation of rainfall indicates that the southwest monsoon has further
withdrawn from some more parts of Rajasthan, remaining parts of Punjab, entire
Western Himalayan region & Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and some parts of
Uttar Pradesh.The withdrawal line of the Southwest Monsoon passes through Lat.
29°N/ Long.81°E, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shahjhanpur, Alwar, Nagaur and Lat. 26°N/
Long.70°E.
• ♦Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of SouthwestMonsoon from some more parts of Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan and some parts of
northwest Madhya Pradesh during next 2-3 days.
• The cyclonic circulation lies over Westcentral & adjoining northwest bay of
Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts and extends upto upper
tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height. Under its influence, a low
pressure area is likely to form over northwest & adjoining westcentral Bay of
Bengal off Odisha coast during next 48 hours.
• Under its influence, (i) Scattered rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall and
moderate thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh &
Yanam, Telangana, Rayalseema and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on toady
30th September, 2020. Also heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Coastal
Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the same period. (ii) Scattered to Fairly
widespread rainfall and moderate thunderstorm & lightning very likely over
Odisha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal during next 4-5 days. Isolated heavy to
very heavy rainfall also very likely over Odisha on 30th September, 01st & 04th
and heavy rainfall very likely over Odisha on 02nd & 03rd, Jharkhand and
Gangetic West Bengal on 03rd & 04th October, 2020.
• Fairly widespread and isolated heavy falls over Arunachal Pradesh om 03rd &
04th, Assam & Meghalaya during 02nd-04th and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram &
Tripura during 01st to 04th October, 2020.

• Dry weather very likely over most parts of the northwest India during next 5
days.
• Moderate thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places over south
Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Kerala
& Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal,
Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during next 12
hours.
