The western end of the monsoon trough has now shifted southwards and lies
near to its normal position, however its eastern end is still to the north of its
normal position. Convergence of lower level winds from Arabian Sea and the Bay
of Bengal over North India is very likely to continue during next 2 days. It is very
likely to increase rainfall intensity and spatial distribution over Northwest India
and adjoining Central India during next 2 days.
• Under the influence of the above meteorological conditions, Widespread rainfall
with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Uttarakhand, Jammu
Division, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan, South
Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal &
Sikkim,Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya during next 24 hours.
• Moderate to severe thunderstorm accompanied with lightning at isolated places
very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Muzaffarabad,
Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, South Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh
and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during next 12 hours.
