The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some parts of southwest and southeast Arabian Sea and some more parts of Maldives-Comorin area. Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of south Arabian Sea, Maldives-Comorin area, southwest and southeast Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours. • The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat.7°N/Long.50°E, Lat.7°N/Long.60°E, Lat.7°N/Long.70°E, Lat.6°N/Long.75°E, Lat.6°N/Long.79°E, Lat.8°N/Long.86°E, Lat.11°N/Long.90°E, Lat.14°N/Long.93°E and Lat.16°N/Long.95°E. • A Low Pressure Area is very likely to form over southeast & adjoining eastcentral Arabian Sea around 31st May. It is very likely to move northnorthwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over eastcentral & adjoining southeast Arabian Sea during the subsequent 72 hours. • The Well Marked Low pressure area over Westcentral Arabian Sea with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto mid tropospheric levels persists. It is very likely to concentrate into a Depression over the same region during next 24 hours. and likely to intensify further thereafter. It is likely to move northwestwards across south Oman & east Yemen coasts during next 48 hours and then move west-southwestwards. • Under the influence of a current Western Disturbance and an east-west trough in lower tropospheric levels, scattered to fairly wide spread rain/thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, hail & squall at isolated places likely to continue over Western Himalaya Region & adjoining plains during 3 days and reduce significant thereafter. • Heat wave conditions abated from most parts of the country yesterday except Telangana & Vidarbha where it is likely to continue till today. No heat wave condition likely to develop over any parts of country during 30th May to 2nd June. 2 • Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over parts of south peninsular India during 29th-31st May, 2020 with isolated Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka & south Interior Karnataka on 29th to 31th May and Lakshadweep on 30th May to 01st June 2020 Not Available |
