The Western Disturbance as a trough in westerlies in mid tropospheric levels with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level has moved away northeastwards.Generally, northerly/northwesterly winds are prevailing over northwest India. As a result, weather is likely to remain dry over this region for the next 2 days. • Isolated thunderstorm accompanied with hail, lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) very likely over northeast India during next 48 hours. • Parts of central, east and south peninsular India are likely to experience isolated thunderstorm activity during next 48 hours. • A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from the night of 5th April. Under its influence, isolated to scattered rain/thundershower is likely over Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains during 06th-07th April, 2020 with maximum intensity on 07th April.
