Description |
Spot blotch caused by Cochliobolus sarikus (Ito & Kurib.) Drechs. ex Dastur in wheat (Triticum aestivlm L. emend. Fiori & Paol.) initiated from February 10 to 13 and 15 to 22 respectively in 26 December sown highly susceptible 'A-9- 30-1' and least susceptible 'NW 1014' wheat. The disease intensity increased with the increase in rainfall, relative humidity, temperature and advancing plant age in the crop season. 'NW 1014' showed highest increase in the disease intensity in 2002-03, the year with higher disease-favouring environmental parameters
