This paper discusses the widespread Zn deficiency in major oilseed growing states in India; effects of Zn use on crop yield, quality and economic benefits; and soil-crop-zinc fertilization management for increasing productivity of oilseed crops, such as groundnut, soyabean, sunflower, safflower, castor and sesame. The Zn uptake by oilseed crops, the genotypes of oilseed crops tolerant and sensitive to Zn stress, and the new fertilizer products containing Zn are described. Not Available |
