Insecticide and fungicide calculators (IFCs) of Rice, Cotton, Pigeonpea, Groundnut, Tomato, Soybean, Chickpea, Chillies, Okra, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Sugarcane, Mustard, Wheat, Brinjal and Potato have been developed as mobile apps and hosted under Google play store with their download also facilitated by scan of QR codes. Developed for android phones using ‘SQLite’, Java Core, Eclipse and Linux technologies, apps provide instant guidance to select right chemicals at right quantity (for procurement & field application) against target insect pests and diseases of specific crop. IFC apps are standalone once downloaded online and their architecture is simple to navigate. Features of ‘More info’ and ‘Feedback’ inbuilt in IFCs help the users to know additional details and communicate with the developer. Apps are digital tools for integration with plant protection useful for researchers, extension functionaries, pesticide dealers and farmers.
