The present study demonstrates the synthesis of magnesium oxide nanoparticle using fungus Aspergillus tubingensis TFR-3 (NCBI GenBank Accession No. JN126255). Identification of fungus isolate was carried out on the basis of morphological and molecular characteristic. Purified extracellular enzymatic secrets were used for the reduction of precursor metal for the synthesis of MgO nanoparticles. To characterize synthesized nanoparticles, Transmission electron microscope (TEM) was used for shape study and wavelength dispersive spectroscopy (WDS) was used to study the surface elemental proportion of magnesium. The average size of magnesium nanoparticle was calculated using dynamic light scattering (DLS) was obtained to be 5.8 nanometer (nm) and less on the basis of their number distribution. The crystallite structure of MgO nanoparticle was confirmed by high resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM) and selective area electron diffraction (SAED) pattern. The WDS spectrum shows 74% atom of magnesium element. Not Available |
