It has been observed that sheep migration during lean periods is not being encouraged due to one or the other reasons nowadays. Thus, the optimum production potential is not exploited fully due to restricted grazing area supplying poor quality feeds leading to non-fulfillment of nutrient requirements, viz., energy, protein and minerals. Therefore, for better growth and production, additional supplementation of economical concentrate mixtures is often necessary and recommended to get maximum possible returns, in terms of meat and wool.
