Description |
An experiment was conducted to study the efficacy of 3 application rates of dry powders of Dennetia tripetala and Eugenia arommica for the control of Callosobruchus maculatus (Fab.). The various doses of dry powder @ 2.5, ยท5.0 and 7.5/250 g fruit) were found effective in reducing oviposition and damage to seeds of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.). Eugenia aramalica was ound the most effective in discouraging oviposition and minimizing the damage the seeds of cowpea, as indicated by the significantly lower the number of emergence holes on the seeds. The dry powders of D. tripetala and E. aromalica did not affect seed viability and quality.
