A field experiment was conducted for 2 years during August-December of 2002 and 2003 to evaluate the effect of potassium (K) and sulfur (S) on the seed production of olitorius jute (cv. JR0-524) raised from top cutting. Application of K and S significantly influenced the seed production of jute. The higher seed yield due to different treatments was obtained through the increase in number of branches/plant, number of pods/plant and number of seeds/pod. The highest seed yield of 496 kg/ha was obtained with 20 kg K2O along with 20 kg S/ha in olitorius jute (JR0-524) grown from top cutting. Not Available |
