Description Bactericera Cockerelli (potato psyllid) has recently been reported in the Peruvian district of Huancabamba (Piura), North of Peru and border with Ecuador. Small potato producers of this zone have reported serious problems with this insect, as in Central America and recently in Ecuador. A semi-structured survey has been validated with technicians and a small group of farmers and it will be used to interview at 100 small-scale farmers from districts of Huancabamba, Sondor and Sondorillo. The objective of this survey is to understand and document the losses and changes in practices that the new pest is causing at productive and technological levels. Staff from CIP and the Centro Ecuménico de Promoción y Acción Social Norte - CEDEPAS Norte, a non-governmental organization (NGO) will interview to the farmers during November 2022.
