Description Fishermen from Versova fishing village
surprisingly caught a live Blue-ringed angel fish,
Pomacanthus annularis (Bloch, 1787) in
their trawl catch. The fish measured about 300
mm in total length and was in a very
healthy condition. The fish was later taken to land and reared in a container containing seawater. On retrieving its health after a month the fish was released back to the sea. This gesture has
contributed to the rehabilitation and
conservation of such beautiful coral fish.
