Description Cage farming of Pompano
(Trachinotus blochii ) was
experimented for the first time in
India at Mandapam Regional Centre
of CMFRI from the hatchery
produced fingerlings. The fingerlings
were stocked after nursery rearing in
September 2011. The length ranged
of fingerlings stocked from 6.0 to 7.0
cm and weight ranged from 12 to 14
gms. The fish were fed trash
fish ad libitum twice in a day.
