Description |
The highest growth rate of seabass with 2.1 kg of average weight has been recorded for the first time in marine cage farm of Karwar, after 11 months stocking period. Seabass fingerlings from RGCA, Sirkali stocked in the cages in the month of January 2011 were harvested in the first week of December. The minimum size observed was 1.8 Kg (49 cm) and the maximum was 2.7 Kg (58 cm). The feed used in the experiment was oil sardines. The FCR obtained in the experiment is 1:2.8. |
