Description |
Mechanized steel craft operating hook & line landed 1,000 kg of Carcharhinus limbatus on 3rd September 2012 at Mangalore Fisheries Harbour. Thirty numbers of sharks weighing 50 to 110 kg were caught off 50 km from the coastline. These crafts, though registered in Karnataka, operate for 21- 30 nights along the west coast of India, and generally land in the northern States of Gujarat and Maharashtra for better market price. |
