Description |
Urethroplasty using homologus preserved peritoneum revealed development of wound and urine infection in 4 animals out of 6. Isolates were similar for wound and urine infection and were mainly Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli. One animal developed urinary fistula. One animal having normal wound healing but developed urinary tract infection. Urethrogram of 5 animals taken after 60 days showed increased diameter of urethra at urethrotomy site. Urethroplasty did not cause urethral stricture in any of the animals.
