Description The overall incidence of ticks in organized farm, in field condition of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim was 7.31,28.93 and 18.26% respectively. The incidence of tick infestation was more in yak hybrids than that in yaks. The ticks infesting yaks and its hybrids were identified as Boophilus, Ixodes, Haemaphysalis, Rhipicephalus, Amblyomma and Dermacentor. The incidence of tick infestation was less in organized farm which could be attribute to better management practices.
