| Description |
This species is known from relatively few specimens from eastern India and Sri Lanka in 10-20 m. It is not targeted but taken in the bycatch of demersal trawl fisheries. It has historically been confused with the Malabar sole, Cynoglossus macrostomus. Therefore, it is listed as Data Deficient. |
