Description |
This small-sized flatfish is known from relatively few museum specimens in the eastern Indian and central Pacific. It is generally found in nearshore, soft-bottom habitats where it is a component of demersal trawl bycatch. The contribution of this species to the bycatch is unknown. It is relatively widely distributed and therefore is listed as Least Concern. However, research is needed to determine the contribution of various small-sized flatfishes to trawl bycatch. |
